While we were in BC we were treated to a lovely evening of Arts at Darts.
Edwin and Francisca Darts donated the beautiful 7.5 acre garden space
to Surrey almost 60 years ago.
I've always loved the vivid purple of the Iris...
Photography, painting, handcrafts and more were for sale at the show...
Forest fairies entertained us...
Poppies delight me... in pure red...
Soft pink...
and dusty rose.
Some flowers are wild in their beauty...
and some, like the Peony, are perfectly composed.
I found a wonderful tree to hug (once again)...
found dark and mysterious forest groves to hide in...
and even Peter touched the trees.
Our season for Iris and Peonies was much earlier. I enjoy seeing other's photos of these much loved flowers! I can't wait for more summer blooms here!

Kathy, thank you for your sweet comment-- it's my very first one in fact! The weather out in Vancouver is quite wet and the gardens seemed so lush. Here in Ontario the weather is hotter and dryer so it will be interesting to see how our garden develops over the summer.
